A totally different look at tarpon! |
For those who are in pursuit of their first tarpon on fly, or who only have a few hours to fish, there’s nothing like a Biscayne Bay Night Tarpon/Snook trip. It’s a specialized fishery that can bring plenty of excitement! |
· The fly tackle: A good 10 wt rod is best. A good saltwater reel w/a good drag system is imperative., spooled with ample backing and a weight forward floating line will be our primary go-to rod. Leaders can be a little shorter for this game. We’ll talk about specifics prior to your trip. · Fly patterns we’ll use will include LeMay’s Night Tarpon Fly and a few of my own creations.
